this commendation comes a bit late but it needs to be said. on a fine day in the hillsbard countryside Bachiatari and myself were hunting for great bears. As we traveled over a hillside we came smack dab into a Night elf and a Dwarf. While we dont speak thier language, we did understand the look of hate in thier eyes. the Elf made the universal sign for a duel to myself and so i thought we were fighting honorable warriors. i accepted his challenge and we faced off. His two daggers would have been threatening to someone not carrying a axe and shield. to keep it simple: in a matter of second i laid him back down to the land that formed him. as i struck the killin nblow however i felt a sting in my back. while my leather had given me a measure of protection, it didnt stop the blade his dwarven friend threw into my back completely. Bachiatari moved to aid me instantly but a well placed blow to her thrat stopped any spell casting she may have done. as i lay there trying to get up i saw more elves come out from the trees. these were not young hunters like i had dueled, these were the elven masters, mounted and armored for epic battles. there were at least 4 of them but as many as 6. my days were done and my regret was that Bachiatari would fall with me . But then things changed faster then my mind could properly record. My commendation isnt official but it is for the Shadowmaster Trioxin. He came out from nowhere. he never said a word. The elves however were screaming and yelling as he came in from behind and waded alone into thier ranks. I remember red mists and angry yells turning into death gurgles. when it was all done, Bachiatari and i had lived, trioxin was gone, and the grass was covered in elven blood and gore.
For staying partied after two members left. The three of us finished the instance (what we had come to do), and the dice awarded him with treasure. Hats off. I hope we all learn from his example of perseverance.
It was a fine battle. Once again, the cowardly alliance (all 60's) attacked the peaceful village of Crossroads. A call was sent out to guildies to aid in its defense, and Zeebo, Zumwati, and Kalipatchia answered the call. With the help of other Horde patriots, we not only defeated the raid, but turned it into a rout, complete with Allies talking to the pretty angel and hearthing.
A special field commendation goes to Kalipatchia for showing extraordinary bravery. Fighting against Bruisers and 60's in your 21st season shows true heart and is what the Cold Watch is all about.
